This excellent LP features Jimmy Smith's working group of the period, a trio with guitarist Quentin Warren and drummer Donald adnonegtijahrburk.giastouttercaptpupdavagoticityma.co organist's version of the opening number, "When Johnny Comes Marching Home," was a hit, and just as memorable are Smith's renditions of "Makin' Whoopee," "Sonnymoon for Two," and "Mack the Knife." A fine example of Smith's talents.9/ Reply

"Crazy Baby" was Jimmy Smith's first album of the sixties, a decade which would make him a household name. Jimmy is joined by new guitarist Quentin Warren, 19 at the time, and long time associate Donald Bailey on drums. The record is filled with tight swing, and the flawless Smith groove is kicked off with "When Johnny Comes Marching Home."/5(9). Reply
